St. Paul's Choral Festival

  • Saint Paul's Episcopal Church 113 Engle Street Englewood, NJ, 07631 United States (map)

St. Paul’s in Englewood, NJ invites you to be a part of their second annual St. Paul’s Choral Festival. The festival took place at St. Bart’s in NYC for many years, led by the late Gordon Appleton (well known to many through international programs sponsored by RSCM America). At last year’s festival, more than sixty singers from four states gathered under the direction of Loraine Enlow for a memorable day of singing and worship.

This year’s music director will be David Pulliam, the director of Music at St. Luke’s in Darien, CT. He serves as a gold examiner for the RSCM and founded the Bishop’s choir School at Christ Church Cathedral in Springfield, MA prior to his time at St. Luke’s

The repertoire will include George Dyson’s Evening Canticles in D, Herbert Howells’ O Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, and more. The day will begin with registration at 9:00am, followed by rehearsal time and other activities, lunch, and Evensong at 3:00pm. The offering will be given as a scholarship to the RSCM Newport Course in memory of Gordon Appleton.

Mark Trautman is organizing this event. He asks that folks register by Easter Monday (April 22). Registration is $20 per chorister, which will cover the cost of lunch.

More info will be available soon. Contact mtrautman@stpaulsenglewood.org for more information.
